Ch6 21
And with that, we end Chapter 6. There are so many questions to be answered. So many family feuds to deal with… All of which we will MOST ASSUREDLY mention in the next chapter, so stay tuned! So much exposition, so much Lark family fighting, so much… angst.
Plus more Magnus. I guess… If that’s what you like.
It’s not Maggie’s curse she has fallen under there, Jeffy-boy 😛
If one thing should be obvious about Lark, it’s that he’s often chalking things up that happen to and around him to anything but himself – Him surviving the wyrm? Hasera must have protected him. The tainted beer not killing him? Guardian must have neutralized the poison. Hasera suddenly going glass-eyed while in the presence of his family, must be dad’s curse…
I wonder why that is…
Maybe obliviousness is Lark’s curse?
What puzzles me (with a tickle) is that she’s seen Lark bare-chested many times, and only now when he’s dressed up does she come over all gaga. Could be a glamo{u}r in those majikal duds…
I mean, I don’t think it’s ONLY because he’s dressed up and/or because of a glamour- it’s the hair.
In all her fantasies, yes, he’s shirtless, handsome, slaying the dragon, etc., but he’s also got that long signature hair. It’s probably on all his books or what have you, but like- that’s the image of Lark she’s lusted over.
Seeing him with long hair and dressed up combo- probably helps her in being…swayed where she wasn’t before.
He doesn’t know his own strength! 😜
So Godblood powers come with a curse. Hhmmmm this changes some of my predictions and leaves me wondering if its time for the corkboard?
Okay, I need a zoom-out on that 3rd panel. What’s happening? Whose hand is that? Is that her own hand on her… hip? Did someone just pick her up and throw her sideways onto a hard wooden chair? From so high up that her earrings are still flying and both hands will be bruised? Cause that’s no way to treat a guest. But surely not? Why would that be needed, can’t she seat herself? I just can’t tell wtf just happened. I always hate being unable to see…
The hand snapping was Lark’s hand. Lark picked her up and deposited her in the chair roughly. She will not be bruised and she couldn’t seat herself because was suffering from a “he so hot stupor”, so Lark picked he up and seated her to get this darn party over with already, because he wants to leave, but we want answers.
Yay! Clarity! Thanks!
Your welcome.
More Magnus? Yes, please. 😍
