Surely, there’s no way that the audacity to speak out against the high council could not possibly indicate the possibility that she’ll add her rebelliousness to Lark’s untamed behaviour to make something even worse, right? Right?
None, whatsoever. At all. Maybe. Probably. Okay, maybe this was a bad idea. Yup, definitely a bad idea.
If I’ve learned anything from sci-fi movies, it’s that the only way to stop a tidal wave is to send another tidal wave directly at it.
