I’m sure Keenar would also be totally fine with his daughter’s untimely demise. Nothing to worry about there. I’m sure he’d take the news as if someone just told him his dog had just pooped on someone’s lawn.

I’m suddenly a lot more interested in seeing a comic (or two) about Keenar and this female mage. They seem much more fascinating… (which I know nothing about so far, as opposed to a bored princess who wants to make out with the well known roguish hero of current legend).
I guess that’s a point for you in the “makes interesting characters” and/or “makes characters interesting” category(ies).
I am a bit curious about just how reckless Lark is and what kind of damage trail he leaves behind. Also, what makes him so powerful, is it something “normal” or does he have a dark secret?
… Well, back to staring at my RSS feed. I’m starting to think I should be reading this comic in bulk rather than update-by-update. No idea if it’d truly make any difference to me though.
P.S. Please don’t take offence at this message. I’m a happy reader and the comic doesn’t seem to be in the same … genres/tropes that I tend to target for entertainment. Also I have no idea what I was ACTUALLY going to say in this postscript. Signing out now.
We have plans for the future involving extra mini-comics based on side characters. One does involve Keenar specifically. Who knows, if things go well, you may just get your desired comic! 😀
Actually Hass is not a Princess, she was reading a cheesy romance novel at the beginning and placing herself in the Princess` role 😉
But she *is* a special little snowflake “princess”, I reckon.
Though it looks like she’s trying to back it up with some skills.
… just not healing skills.
Ok her dad just became my favorite person.
And this is just the beginning!
As the council bickers, a young voice cuts through :
Hasera, “I can hear you, you know ?
Council, *gasp*
Hasera, “So nice to hear you all consider my request on it’s own merits.”
Council, “Weelll … when we said ‘you might die’ … we didn’t mean it that bad.”
Hasera, “No, I get it. I really do.”
council, “You .. do ?”
Hasera, “I bet most of the guardians you have send Lark were good healer, GREAT healers even.”
Council, “Well, of course they were, all good Guardians are.”
Hasera, “But were they good fighters ?”
Hasera, “I bet they weren’t, BUT I AM!”
Hasera, “I can take whatever Lark throws at me, you just watch.”
Hasera, *stomps out the room*
Council, “huh, well I guess that means she’s assigned to Lark.”
Council, “I just wish we had been part of the process that agreed to it.”

Perhaps this is why the Council appears to “respect” Keenar the Venerable.
If Lark dies, she dies too. Let’s see them explain THAT to “daddy-dearest”. 😛
A glorious death in combat; easy enough to explain away. 💀
